Response of ecosystem service value to land use/cover change in the northern slope economic belt of the Tianshan Mountains, Xinjiang, China

Land use/cover change (LUCC) is becoming more and frequent extensive as a result of human activities, expected to have major impact on welfare by altering ecosystem service value (ESV). In this study, we utilized remote sensing images statistical data explore the spatial-temporal changes land types ESV in northern slope economic belt Tianshan Mountains Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, China from 1975 2018. During study period, LUCC region varied significantly. Except grassland unused land, all other (cultivated forestland, waterbody, construction land) increased areas. From 2018, variations were also pronounced. The total decreased 4.00×108 CNY, which was primarily due reductions areas land. Waterbody had much higher than types. Ultimately, understanding interactions among different will help improve existing use policies provide scientific basis for developing new conservation strategies ecologically fragile
